The Asian fusion restaurant 'MOMO Restaurant, Bar & Lounge' has been one of the most successful restaurants in Amsterdam since its opening in 2008. The restaurant combines classic French bistro gastronomy with the passion and informality of Asian cultures, but with a modern and unique twist.
The restaurant's success cried out for a coffee table book, a cookbook cum lifestyle book in which MOMO's surprising culinary creations, contemporary interior and photogenic staff were spectacularly photographed by top Israeli photographer Dan Perez.
MOMO's owner Yossi Eliyahoo created a unique 308-page collector's item with Verso publisher Martijn Meyer. The book artfully captures the essence of the restaurant. From the internationally recognized signature dishes, the stylish interior to the people behind the scenes and their intriguing tips and secrets. The success of this cosmopolitan restaurant, and how its presence since 2008 has changed the restaurant landscape in Amsterdam, is beautifully presented.
"I really feel that MOMO as a concept has had an impact on the Dutch restaurant scene. Creative Asian cuisine was an aspect we were not familiar with. And if you ask me, it's here to stay. Especially in a cosmopolitan city like Amsterdam." - Robert Kranenborg
