The coffee-table book "Mouth Full Of Golds" is an illustrated history of the famous Eddie's Gold Teeth, the New York inventor of the diamond-filled gold fronds you see many a rapper wearing over his or her teeth.
Eddie Plein is a New York native of Surinamese descent who is considered the inventor of gold detachable fronts. As owner of Eddie's Gold Teeth, he began making gold caps in the early 1980s for the likes of Just-Ice, Flavor Flav, Big Daddy Kane and Kool G. Rap. He later moved to Atlanta, where he designed increasingly elaborate grills for rappers such as OutKast, Goodie Mob, Ludacris and Lil Jon.
The book "Mouth Full Of Golds" describes the golden era of dentistry that Plein ushered in and the big glittering smile he left on the face of hip-hop. In addition to tasteful photography, the book features interviews with A$AP Rocky, CeeLo Green, Marc Jacobs and Goldie.
