Joris Bijdendijk

Joris Bijdendijk (1984, Amsterdam) has been executive chef of restaurant RIJKS for six years, for which he received a Michelin star in 2016. Since 2019, the Amsterdam native has also been executive chef of the new restaurant Wils and writes a weekly column on food preparation in Het Parool. Before his RIJKS and Wils, Bijdendijk was behind the stove at Bridges restaurant for which he also received a Michelin star.

During his chef training, Joris Bijdendijk apprenticed with renowned chef and entrepreneur Ron Blaauw. After his studies, the young chef packed his bags to France to join the team of the French Pourcel brothers of restaurant Le Jardin de Sens in Montpellier.
